After I sign a settlement release, do I have any further rights?

A: No, as a general rule, once you sign a settlement release, you do not have any further right to seek further compensation, even if it turns out that you were more badly hurt than you recognized. This is why we advise all of our clients that they should not consider signing a settlement release until they have reached the point where they are either fully recovered from the injuries they sustained in the accident or have recovered as fully as possible.
