Settlement for bus passenger who suffered lower back injuries. He had just boarded a CTA bus in downtown Chicago when the bus driver acclerated before he reached a seat and then came to an abrupt stop only a few feet further ahead when the light at the intersection changed. Through investigation, we were able to show that the bus driver violated CTA operating rules and was therefore negligent in her operation of the bus. (Cook County)
