Two Injured When Car Crashes Into Edgewater Building

November 30, 2010 - Two people suffered serious personal injuries on Sunday when they were involved in a car accident in Edgewater. According to a report at the Chicago Sun-Times, the accident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. on Sunday morning.

The Major Accident Investigation Unit with the Chicago Police Department is investigating this crash. Their initial findings indicate that the victims were driving on North Clark Street when the driver lost control of the car, which then crashed into the front window of Chicago Furniture Liquidators Co. in Edgewater.

The driver and a passenger were injured in the car accident, with personal injuries that officials describe as serious but not life threatening. The victims are receiving treatment at Saint Francis Hospital. Their identities have not yet been released, and police have not said what caused the driver to lose control of the car. There is no word on whether or not alcohol or speed may have played a role in causing the crash.
