Truck carrying hazardous materials explodes, killing three

In Virginia today, a truck carrying hazardous materials exploded after it ran off the road and then bumped into another tractor trailer.  This resulted in an explosion which killed three and required the evacuation of many nearby residents due to the escape of hazardous materials from the truck accident.

In most kinds of automobile accident cases, it is simply the impact between the two vehicles which produces the injury.  With tractor trailers, the load is sometimes the item that produces the injury, as occurred in this case.  In other cases, it can be the load falling from the trailer or shifting during transport.  A load shift during transport will frequently cause the trailer to tip over.

Any one who is involved in an accident with a truck which was caused by the load which was being carried by the tractor trailer would do well to contact an experienced Chicago personal injury lawyer, as highly experienced experts will be needed to show whose responsibility it was to properly secure the load and how the failure to do so resulted in the truck accident.
