October 26, 2010 – Several people suffered personal injuries on Monday when 3 semi-trucks and a passenger vehicle crashed on the Dan Ryan Expressway in Chicago. According to a report at ABC 7 Chicago, the accident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. in the early morning hours of Monday morning.Reports indicate that the semi-trucks were traveling northbound on the Dan Ryan Expressway, also known as Interstate 94, when the crash occurred. The trucks were near the exit for West 63rd Street. Deputies with the Chicago District of the Illinois State Police are investigating this truck accident, but they have yet to determine how it occurred.In total, 3 semi trucks and one car were involved. Several people were injured in the wreck, but their conditions are currently unknown. None of the victims or drivers have been identified. The victims have been taken to local hospitals for treatment, and police believe that all of the injured should survive.The northbound side of the Dan Ryan Expressway was closed until just after 3:30 a.m. as emergency personnel attempted to clear the accident scene.
