Three Injured in South Side Crash Involving Police Vehicle
August 25, 2010 - Chicago - Three people were injured in a crash involving a police vehicle on the South Side of Chicago close to Jackson Park.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the car accident happened at around 12:03 a.m. on the 1500 block of East 67th street. A Grand Crossing District police lieutenant stated that the accident occurred when a marked squad car crashed into Buick.
The two female officers that were in the squad car at the time of the car accident have been sent to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The woman driving the Buick was transported to Northwestern. None of the women received life-threatening injuries in the car crash.
No citations have been issued for this crash, as fault has not yet been determined. The cause of the car accident is also unknown at this time. The accident remains under investigation by the Grand Crossing District Police.
