South Side Crash Leaves Three Children, One Adult Injured
September 15, 2010 - Bronzeville, IL - Three children and one adult were seriously injured in a car accident Tuesday afternoon.
The Chicago Breaking News Center reports that the car accident occurred at around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at East 47th Street and South Indiana Avenue in the South Side's Bronzeville neighborhood. Details concerning the nature and cause of the crash are unclear at this time.
The Chicago Fire Department stated that 3 children were sent to the hospital following the accident. Two went to the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital, where they are said to be in serious-to-critical condition. The other child was transported to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center. That child's condition has been listed as fair-to-serious.
One adult was also injured in the car crash. The adult was transported to Provident Hospital and is said to be in fair-to-serious condition as well.
The car accident remains under investigation and new information will be posted if and when it becomes available.
