Serious Bus Crash in Chicago Injures Many

May 21, 2010 - At least 10 people were injured in a collision between a CTA bus and a passenger vehicle on Thursday. According to reports at WGN TV, the bus crash occurred shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Police are still investigating this serious bus accident, but initial reports indicate that the passenger vehicle cut off the CTA bus, which resulted in the collision. The bus was traveling on North Pulaski Road when the accident occurred. Five ambulances were called to the scene to transport the injured to local hospitals.

In total, 10 people suffered personal injuries, but their identities have yet to be released. At least 7 people are in serious or critical condition. Police have not said if the injured were passengers in the bus or traveling in the car. They have also not released any information on the identity of the car's driver or whether charges will be filed in this bus crash.
