Rollover Car Accident on I-94 Injures Three

June 22, 2010 - Three people suffered critical personal injuries on Saturday in a single-vehicle accident in Illinois. According to reports at the Chicago Sun-Times, the car accident occurred on I-94, also known as the Dan Ryan Expressway, shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Speed appears to be a factor in the crash. According to police reports, the vehicle was traveling north on I-94 when it took a turn too quickly and the driver lost control of the car, causing a rollover. There were three people in the vehicle, and all were seriously injured. Two of the occupants were thrown from the car during the rollover, and the other victim was trapped inside the crushed vehicle until first responders arrived.

The victims are receiving treatment for their injuries at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital. At least one of the victims is currently listed in critical condition; the conditions of the other victims are unknown at this time. Police are still investigating this crash and will release more information if and when it becomes available.
