One Killed in Aurora Car Crash

August 19, 2010 - An Aurora resident died Tuesday after he crashed his car into several trees on the side of the road. According to a report at the Chicago Breaking News Center, the victim has been identified as a 33-year-old man who lived on East Benton Street in Aurora. The car accident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.

The victim was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe on Grandview Drive when his SUV drove off the road near Edgewood Avenue and crashed into multiple trees and a street sign. Police say the victim was unconscious when they arrived on the scene. He was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center with serious personal injuries. Sadly, he died less than an hour after the accident. The victim was the only occupant of the SUV, and no other vehicles were involved.

Police continue to investigate this fatal crash, and they have not released any information on what might have caused this accident. There is no word yet on whether speed or alcohol played a role in this death. More information will be added if and when it becomes available.
