One Injured in Naperville Motorcycle Accident
June 17, 2010 - One person was injured on Wednesday in a motorcycle accident in Naperville, Illinois. According to reports at the Daily Herald, the 33-year-old victim was stopped for a red light on Route 59 near North Aurora Road when she was struck by a car. The accident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
The driver of the car has been identified as a 48-year-old woman. Police say the victim was from Aurora, but her name has not been released. The motorcyclist is receiving treatment for her personal injuries at Edward Hospital, where she is expected to survive. Her condition is currently unknown.
Police have not said what caused the car to hit the motorcycle, and they continue to investigate this serious motorcycle accident. The Naperville Police Department is also looking for any witnesses who saw the crash occur; if you witnessed the motorcycle accident or have any other information, please call Joe Matchett with the Naperville Police Department at (630) 420-8515. Police have not said if any charges will be filed as a result of this accident.
