One Injured in Motorcycle Wreck on Lake Shore Drive
October 8, 2010 - One person suffered serious personal injuries on Wednesday after an accident involving a motorcycle and a car. According to a report at the Chicago Breaking News Center, the accident occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening on North Lake Shore Drive in Chicago.
Although few details have been released about this crash, the Chicago Police Department has said that a motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Lake Shore Drive when he or she was involved in a collision with a vehicle. Police have not said who was at fault in this crash or how it occurred.
Paramedics with the Chicago Fire Department were called to the scene and transported one person to the hospital. It's not known if this injured person was on the motorcycle or in the car. The victim is currently being treated at Mount Sinai Hospital, where his or her condition is currently unknown.
The northbound side of Lake Shore Drive was closed for about half an hour Wednesday evening as first responders cleared the scene. The Chicago Police Department continues to investigate this motorcycle accident.
