Motorcyclist loses leg after being struck by loose tire

A California woman was recently released from the hospital after a motorcycle accident which caused injuries which resulted in the amputation of her leg.  The accident occurred when a wheel came off a pick up truck owned by a business and struck her.  The driver told investigating officers that the tire that came off was a spare that he had installed three days prior to the accident.
