Motorcyclist hit by prescription drug user

An Arizona motorcycle rider is in critical condition after being hit by a car that failed to yield the right of way and pulled in front of him, causing the motorcycle.  When officers arrived to investigate the accident, they noticed that she appeared to be clumsy and when asked, she admitted to them that she was under the influence of prescription medications.

There are a disproportionate number of motorcycle accidents that happen when the car driver fails to yield the right of way to the rider.  The incidence of this has increased with more distracted drivers on the road.  With more and more powerful prescription medications being offered which impair a driver's ability to safely operate a car, we can expect that prescription medications will play an ever-increasing role in causing motorcycle accidents.
