

August 11, 2010 - One person suffered personal injuries on Tuesday morning in a collision between a car and a motorcycle. According to reports at the Chicago Breaking News Center, the accident occurred shortly before 6 a.m. on the Stevenson Expressway outside of Chicago.
Police are still investigating this motorcycle accident, but initial reports indicate that a motorcyclist was driving northbound on the Stevenson Expressway when he was hit by a Lincoln Towncar. The accident occurred between the exits for Cass Avenue and Lemont Road.
During the collision, the motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle, but his helmet may have saved his life. The motorcyclist suffered personal injuries, but he is expected to survive. He is being treated for his injuries at an unnamed local hospital. His identity has not been released and there is no word on his current condition.
Police have also not identified the driver who caused this accident, and they have released little information on what caused the collision. The crash caused a slight traffic jam on the Stevenson Expressway that eased by 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.
