Four People Injured in Jefferson Park Crash

January 17, 2011 - Four people suffered personal injuries on Sunday when they were involved in a crash on Chicago's Northwest Side. According to a report at the Chicago Tribune, the Jefferson Park crash involved at least 9 people and an unknown number of vehicles.

Police say the crash occurred at the intersection of Austin and Berwyn Avenues in Jefferson Park. The multiple vehicle accident happened shortly after 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, and first responders had cleared the scene by 4:30 p.m. Police have not released any details on how the crash occurred or who was at fault.

Four people suffered personal injuries, but luckily all of the victims are expected to survive. The injured were transported by ambulance to Resurrection Medical Center for treatment. Two of the victims are listed in fair condition, while 2 others were admitted in good condition. Their identities have not yet been released.

There were 5 other people involved in the crash who were not injured, according to the fire department. These people have also not been identified. Police have not said if any charges will be filed in connection with this accident.
