Fatal Chicago Car Accident in Logan Square Kills 1, Injures 2

September 2, 2010 - At least one person is dead after a car accident in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. According to a report at the Chicago Breaking News Center, the car crash occurred shortly before 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

Few details have been released about this fatal crash, and it is currently unknown how many vehicles were involved. The Chicago Police Department has only said that the car crash occurred on North Kedzie Avenue. At least one person was killed in the accident. The victim's identity has not yet been released, but police say that the victim is a man around the age of 60-years-old. He was treated for serious injuries at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he died shortly before 2:30 p.m.

Two other people suffered personal injuries in the car accident, but the severity of their injuries is unknown. One victim was transported to Norwegian-American Hospital, while the other victim is being treated at Stroger Hospital. The Major Accident Investigation Unit with the Chicago Police Department continues to investigate this fatal car crash to determine how it occurred.
