Crash on Northwest Side Injures Several People

January 4, 2011 - Multiple cars were involved in a serious crash on the Kennedy Expressway early on Monday morning. According to a report at the Chicago Sun-Times, at least two or three people were injured when several cars collided on the Northwest Side of Chicago shortly before 2:00 a.m. on Monday.

The Illinois State Police are still investigating this crash and have released few details at this time. Initial reports indicate that the cars involved were traveling northbound on the Kennedy Expressway when they collided near the exit for Bryn Mawr Avenue. Police have not said what caused the car accident or who was at fault.

At least a few people suffered personal injuries, but their identities have not yet been released. All of the victims were transported by ambulance to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where their conditions are currently unknown.

At least one lane of the Kennedy Expressway was closed on Monday morning as deputies investigated the crash. All lanes were reopened by 2:30 a.m. No charges have bee filed at the time of this posting, but the investigation is not yet complete.
