Chicago Police Seek Light-Colored Buick in Fatal Hit-and-Run

June 4, 2010 - The Chicago Police Department is seeking the public's help in apprehending the driver who was involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident last month. According to reports at ABC 7 Chicago, the police are seeking a tan or light-colored Buick Park Avenue that likely has or had damage on the front of the car near the passenger's side.

Eyewitness accounts place the Buick Park Avenue at the scene of a pedestrian accident on May 12, 2010. An 80-year-old man was crossing Cottage Grove Avenue when he was hit by a car near East 53^rd Street. After carrying the victim for a short while on the hood of his car, the driver fled the scene. The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after 9 p.m. that night.
