May 21, 2010 – A Chicago man suffered serious, life-threatening injuries when he was dragged by a taxi cab. According to reports at NBC Chicago, a 32-year-old male has been in a coma since the accident last Friday. Police are still investigating this shocking accident, but witness accounts indicate that the victim was leaning through the window of the taxi, talking to the driver, when the cab driver started driving. The victim was unable to extricate himself in time and he was dragged and then run over by the taxi. The driver of the cab fled the scene after the accident.The car accident occurred at the intersection of West North Avenue and North Honore Street. Witnesses believe there was some sort of argument between the victim and the cab driver. The victim’s family has been looking for additional witnesses to come forward, since the cab and driver have yet to be identified.The male victim, who is a graduate student in Chicago, has been in a coma since the accident.
