Chicago Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident
September 23, 2010 - A local Chicago man died on Tuesday when his motorcycle was hit by a semi-truck. According to a report at the Chicago Breaking News Center, the victim was riding on East Higgins Road near Elk Grove Village, a suburb of Chicago. The fatal accident occurred shortly before noon on Tuesday.
According to the Cook County Medical Examiner, the victim has been identified as a 32-year-old man from Northwest Chicago. Police have not released any information on how the motorcycle crash occurred, and they have not identified the driver of the semi-truck or explained who was at fault in the accident. The victim was treated for extensive personal injuries at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where he died approximately 2 hours after the crash. It appears that the driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
The victim's MySpace page shows him posing with several motorcycles, including a Harley Davidson and a BMW. The Chicago Police Department is investigating this fatal motorcycle accident to determine how it occurred. More information will be added if and when it becomes available.
