Car Crash in Englewood Injures 9

October 28, 2010 - A number of people suffered serious personal injuries in a car accident in Chicago on Wednesday. According to a report at The Chicago Breaking News Center, paramedics with the Chicago Fire Department responded to the scene, but a department spokesman has released no information on how the accident occurred or how many vehicles were involved.

In total, 9 people were injured in the car crash. The Chicago Fire Department received the call shortly after noon on Wednesday from witnesses who saw the accident take place. The Department instituted an EMS Plan 1, which calls for numerous ambulances to head to the scene. The accident occurred in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, near the intersection of Union Avenue and 55^th Street. Nine people were taken to local hospitals with serious personal injuries; 4 of those individuals are listed in serious condition.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released and the Chicago Fire Department has not said what caused this serious crash. More information about this accident will be added if and when it becomes available.
