Blind driver kills motorcyclist

A motorcycle rider in Waco was killed on December 12 by a woman who did not see him.  Unlike many of the other wrongful death motorcycle accidents we have blogged about over the course of  the year, this driver did not see the rider because she was legally blind.  Yes, legally blind.  Even worse, she had children in the car, including an infant, but the infant was not in a car seat because the car seat was in the trunk.

Inattention has been the cause of many motorcycle accidents, but this one is due to a series of choices made by someone who does not appear to be capable of making good choices.  She is facing manslaughter charges and hopefully will end up with some jail time.
