Accident with postal vehicle

There was an auto accident in downtown Minneapolis today between a postal vehicle and another vehicle.  The car was broadsided by the postal vehicle.

One thing that most people are not aware of is that any claim made against an employee of the federal government must be made under the Federal Tort Claims Act.  There are a number of technical requirements for the statute, including a requirement that you make an administrative claim with the Post Office before filing suit in federal court.

Failing to comply with the requirements of the Federal Tort Claims Act can result in dismissal of the lawsuit, so if you are involved in a car accident with a postal vehicle, you would do well to hire an experienced Chicago personal injury lawyer.
