2 Hurt In Illinois Motorcycle Crash

Two people were injured in Fieldon, Illinois after a motorcycle tried to make a pass on Illinois Route 16. The accident happened on a Sunday in June, while Stanley Bland, 57, and his passenger, Belinda West, 53, were heading east on the highway.

According to a report from Telegraph.com, Bland had attempted to make the pass when another vehicle allegedly veered into the motorcycle's lane of traffic, causing the motorcycle to side-swipe a guardrail and fall onto its side. Both riders were thrown from the motorcycle, and subsequently taken to Jersey Community Hospital for treatment of their injuries. According to Jersey County Sheriff Mark Kallal, both Bland and West suffered serious injuries in the Illinois motorcycle crash.
