When I opened my law firm in 2004 after practicing law for 10 years with some of Chicago's most prominent injury compensation lawyers, I decided to make 2 commitments to my clients: 

1. To creatively and assertively represent them - every case is unique and your case presents its own set of facts and circumstances. Drawing on my knowledge of the law, I seek to pursue my client's interests and minimize the defense's effectiveness by adopting aggressive, innovative approaches to the law. Through the pre-trial discovery process, I seek to establish facts and elicit admissions that will show the liability of the other party and their respective insurance company. If we cannot reach a reasonable settlement, the matter will be presented to a jury. 
2. To make sure they fully understand their cases - the case belongs to you, the client, not an injury compensation lawyer. Clients need to understand the strengths and weaknesses of both their own case and the defense's case. Many lawyers throw around legal terms like modified comparative negligence assuming their clients understand what that means to their case. I take the time to make sure you are fully aware of what is going on in your claim. When the time comes to decide whether to settle the case or proceed to trial, you, the client, will be able to make a fully informed decision. 

Of course, I'll offer my advice, but in the end, the decision is always the client's. Clients cannot make solid, informed decisions without a firm understanding of the legal basis of their case, the defense's case and of all the facts surrounding their accident. This requires regular, ongoing communication from me to you.

I have been practicing law as an injury compensation lawyer exclusively in the area of plaintiff's personal injury work for more than 15 years, representing victims of negligence and their families. I have not and will not represent insurance companies, unlike some of the top law firms of Chicago.
